Sub genre Teen films
What is a sub genre: a category that is a subdivision of a larger genre for example a teen drama will have its main codes and iconography from a teen film. However it will also include generic codes and conventions from another source.
Kidulthood is an example as it is about teenagers and also about urban realism.
Twilight
Sub genre : Super natural in teen drama
Twilights main characters are all teenagers. The two main characters being one male and one female who fall inn love. This makes the film include the genre of a Teen drama. The supernatural sub genre is shown through the fact of characters in the film being vampires which fits into the supernatural sub genre.
Blair Witch project
Sub genre : Horror in teen drama
Blair witch projects sub genres are; Teen drama due to the main characters in the film being teens. It is also a horror film as it contains tense moments and it is about the characters being scared.
